Clint Schwab, Ph.D.


Clint Schwab serves as President of Acuity, with overall fiscal and operational accountability for the business. Clint received his bachelor’s degree in animal science from Colorado State University before completing his master’s and Ph.D. degrees in animal breeding and genetics from Iowa State University, as well as an MBA from the Olin School of Business at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri. Clint joined The Maschhoffs in 2012 following his time as CEO of the National Swine Registry. Now serving in an executive role as Vice President of Science and Technology at The Maschhoffs, Clint will provide technical oversight of the innovation function across multiple disciplines in parallel with his deep understanding of the development of Acuity’s genetic platform to further enable the success of Acuity’s partners.


Justin Fix, Ph.D.


As Director of Business Development and Genetic Improvement, Justin Fix maintains responsibility for the internal implementation of genetic programs and the success of Acuity’s producer partners. Following his bachelor’s degree in ag business at Iowa State University, Justin earned both his master’s and Ph.D. degrees in swine breeding and genetics from North Carolina State University. Justin joined The Maschhoffs in 2018 following his time as Vice President of Global Technical Service with the National Swine Registry and as Director of Genetic Programs with Smithfield Premium Genetics. In his role with Acuity, Justin will leverage his previous experience to comprehensively develop and manage partner-facing efforts as well as maintain his contribution to oversight of genetic improvement methods.


Ian Brooke


Ian Brooke serves as the Director of Supply Chain and Operations where he oversees the operations of nucleus farms and performance test centers as well as manages the supply chain infrastructure to deliver animals and genes to Acuity customers. Ian was a 10-year 4-Her which led him to Purdue University where he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Animal Agribusiness. There he was on the livestock judging team and a member of Alpha Gamma Rho fraternity. In 2011, Ian joined the Maschhoffs, serving as Field Advisor in WTM production and as Director of Operations for commercial and multiplication production. In 2020, Ian began leading operations of the Acuity commercial test herd doing critical data collection for The Maschhoffs. In 2021, Ian joined the Acuity team. Ian is a Pork Leadership Institute graduate and a member of the Illinois Ag Leadership Class of 2023.
