Clint Schwab, Ph.D.
Clint Schwab serves as President of Acuity, with overall fiscal and operational accountability for the business. Clint received his bachelor’s degree in animal science from Colorado State University before completing his master’s and Ph.D. degrees in animal breeding and genetics from Iowa State University, as well as an MBA from the Olin School of Business at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri. Clint joined The Maschhoffs in 2012 following his time as CEO of the National Swine Registry. Now serving in an executive role as Vice President of Science and Technology at The Maschhoffs, Clint will provide technical oversight of the innovation function across multiple disciplines in parallel with his deep understanding of the development of Acuity’s genetic platform to further enable the success of Acuity’s partners.
Justin Fix, Ph.D.
DIRECTOR, BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
& GENETIC IMPROVEMENT
As Director of Business Development and Genetic Improvement, Justin Fix maintains responsibility for the internal implementation of genetic programs and the success of Acuity’s producer partners. Following his bachelor’s degree in ag business at Iowa State University, Justin earned both his master’s and Ph.D. degrees in swine breeding and genetics from North Carolina State University. Justin joined The Maschhoffs in 2018 following his time as Vice President of Global Technical Service with the National Swine Registry and as Director of Genetic Programs with Smithfield Premium Genetics. In his role with Acuity, Justin will leverage his previous experience to comprehensively develop and manage partner-facing efforts as well as maintain his contribution to oversight of genetic improvement methods.
DIRECTOR, SUPPLY MANAGEMENT & OPERATIONS
As Director of Supply Management and Operations, Matt Murphy maintains responsibility for Acuity’s nucleus populations, performance testing programs, and both the maternal and terminal supply chain infrastructure. Matt brings a unique undergraduate background with dual bachelor’s degrees in sociology and technical systems management from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Matt joined The Maschhoffs in 2013 and has demonstrated his capability to lead the implementation of technical programs through a series of roles within research and genetic operations at The Maschhoffs. He most recently led the execution of Acuity’s commercial test herd – a critical component of Acuity’s competitive advantage as a genetic supplier.
